Introduction

Dar AL Etiman Auto Lease Financing is a Shariah compliant product whereby the company buys the car and leases it to the customer for a specified period of time (Max. 60 months) against monthly rental payment as per both party’s (comp. & client) agreement prior to car purchase. At the end of the toner, Client has the option to either return the car or pay the pre-agreed Balloon Payment and own the car.

Below are some of the features tailored to ease your financing experience :

Various Payment Channels

You can pay through various convenient payment channels as shown below:

• Auto deduction from your current account at a local bank.
• ATM devices.
• Online Banking Service.
• Phone Banking Service.
• Cash or by credit card at the company's branches.

Important Note:

Failing to pay your monthly installment on time will reflect negatively on your credit record at Saudi Credit Information (SIMAH) which may affect the decision of any future credit facility requested.

Driving Authorization

The first Authorization to drive is automatically issued once you sign the leasing contract and submitted to you upon car delivery. The authorization to drive is valid for one month from the date of issue. You need to renew this authorization for you or for any person you authorized to drive before it expires.

Driving Authorization Renewal

You can request renewal of authorization by visiting the nearest after Sales Service Center with the required documents and you will receive it immediately.

Required Documents:

• Copy of valid ID/Iqama.
• Copy of valid driving license.

Important Note:

Paying the monthly installment on time is a condition to renew the authorization.

Additional Driver Authorization

You can authorize additional drivers to drive the car provided they have valid Saudi driving license and the driver’s age between 21 to 65 years old. In case the requested authorization for a driver age less than 21 years old then a preapproval from insurance company is needed subject to pay SR 1000 annually for insurance policy extension.

Required Documents:

• Copy of valid ID/Iqama of the original customer.
• Copy of valid ID/Iqama & valid Driving License for the additional driver.

Important Note:

In case the additional driver is not a first degree relative or not under the sponsorship of the customer, then he must provide a letter from the sponsorship acknowledging that he has no objection. This letter must be attested properly.

Traveling with the car outside Kingdom (I.A.D)

You can travel with the car outside Saudi Arabia, once you obtain the International Authorization (I.A.D) to drive, as the normal authorization to drive is not applicable outside the Kingdom. To obtain an I.A.D to drive, please visit the nearest After Sales Service Center and follow the steps bellow:

• Pay international insurance policy (geographic extension), if any.
• Reentry visa is a must for expatriate.
• Advanced monthly installment payment might be required.
• Pay the I.A.D fees 200 SR for Every Edition

Traveling with the car outside Kingdom (I.A.D)

Important Notes:

• The destination country should be allowable according to the company policy.
• The company has the right to reject the request of I.A.D without declaring any reasons.
• Paying your monthly installment on time is a condition to obtain I.A.D.
• Provide financial guarantor.

Renewal of Car License

You can apply renew the car license by visiting our nearest After Sales Service Center with all the required documents and pay the renewal fees/cost and you will be contacted to receive it.

Required Documents for Male Customers:

• Original car license.
• A copy of valid ID/Iqama.
• A copy of valid driving license.
• Original periodic car inspection certificate.

Required Documents for Female Customers:

• Original car license.
• A copy of valid ID/ Iqama.
• A copy of valid driving license for the authorized driver.
• Original periodic car inspection certificate.
• We will provide you with a special form to get it attested properly.

Renewal of Car License

Important Notes:

• You must pay all outstanding traffic violations.
• Start the renewal of car license 15 days before it expires to ensure having enough time for the renewal process to take place, thereby avoiding penalty of license expiration.

Lost Car License Issuance Request

In case you lost the car license, visit the nearest After Sales Service Center, pay the cost and fees and you will be contacted to receive it. The validity of the original car license and periodic inspection is a condition.

Lost Car Plates Issuance Request

In case you lost the car plates, follow these procedures:

• Inform the police immediately and get a police letter. This letter is authorizes you to drive the car without plates for 15 days only.
• Visit the nearest After Sales Service Center to request a replacement of the lost car plates, pay the cost and fees.
• In coordination with Traffic Department, you will be contacted to receive replacement car plates.

Required Documents:

• A copy of Police Letter.
• A copy of the valid ID/Iqama.
• A copy of valid Driving License (customer or authorized driver).
• An Original Periodic Car Inspection Certificate, attested properly.

Additional Spare Key Request

Upon car delivery, the company will give you only one key and keep the other one (spare key) to be given to you later upon the completion of car ownership transfer. However, in case you need to have an additional key, visit the nearest After Sales Service Center, fill the request form and pay SR1000 (refundable after returning the spare key). The spare key will be handed over to you. Visit the dealership to buy new additional key and encode or program it together with the original spare key which may require bringing the car to the dealership.

Important Note:

• Paying the monthly installment on time is a condition in order to request an additional spare key.

In Case of Death Procedures

The car should be immediately returned to the company and our After Sales Service representative shall explain the available options to the rightful heir:

• The rightful heir can sign replacement contract to continue the remaining balance of the installments and keep using the car.
• The rightful heir can buy the car with early settlement.
• Lease transfer to a third party who is qualified as per Auto Lease Terms and Conditions.
• Terminating the contract without paying any termination fees provided that there is no pending lease installments due at the time or after death occurrence.

Required Documents:

• Original Death Certificate.
• Original customer inventory of inheritance.
• The legal certificate of power of attorney to the rightful heir.
• The rightful original ID/Iqama.

Insurance and Car Accidents

The first insurance policy is automatically issued once you sign the leasing contract and will be submitted to you upon car delivery. In case of car accident:

• No wavier of/for other party liabilities should be made.
• Call Najm Company on 920000560 and make sure to obtain a reference number.
• Inform the dealership insurance division with immediately maximum 30 days of the accident date and follow their instructions.
• In case of any inquiry please call our toll-free number 800244 2228.

Required Documents to Register an Insurance Claim:

• Fill the Insurance Claim Form.
• Pay the compulsory insurance tolerance (deductible) amount of SR1000 regardless of third party responsibility in the accident even though the third party is unknown.
• Original Traffic Department or Najm Report.
• Original Car Accident Repair Permission.
• Copy of Car Accident Sketch/Report.

Insurance and Car Accidents

• Copy of valid Car License, Copy of valid ID/Iqama and Driving License for the driver.
• Valid Driving Authorization Letter.
• Obtain Sheikh Workshops quotation of car repair.
• In case the car is not operational, the car should be towed to the nearest dealership workshop and an amount of maximum SR1000 will be refunded to the customer subjected to invoice.
• Police Report in case of car theft.
• Civil Defense Report in case of car burned.
• In case the car accident occurs outside the kingdom, a traffic report attested by Saudi Embassy in the country where the incident occurs should be provided. If the customer repaired the car in the country where the incident occurs, the following document should be provided: A photo of the car before and after the car accident, repairing invoice attested by the Saudi Embassy in the country where the accident occurs, geographical extension insurance policy.
• You will be contacted after completion of car repair or rejection.

Insurance Policy Exclusions

• The policy does not cover if the driver at the time of accident is less than 18 years old.
• The policy does not cover if the car has been let on hire or sub-lease, or used for commercial transport or use.
• The policy does not cover the car while driving off-road.
• The policy does not cover any claim arising out of accident, loss, damage, or liability reported to the Insurance Company after 15 days from the date of incident.
• The insurance policy does not cover any accident caused by: Crossing a red signal, driving on the wrong side of the road, exceeding the speed limit, drifting, when the driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medically prescribed medication prohibiting driving, any other traffic violations.
• The insurance policy does not cover any loss or damage caused by war, riots or the discharge.
• Insurance company reserves the right to declare a constructive total loss, if the cost of repair is reaches 50% of the car insured value and beyond economical repair at the time of accident.
• Self-repairing is not allowed unless written permission from the insurance company is acquired.

Ownership Transfer

At the end of your leasing period, when you settle all your monthly installments and desire to own the car, visit the nearest After Sales Service Center with the required documents, fill the request of ownership transfer and pay the cost and fees and you will be contacted upon the completion of the transfer.

Required Documents from Male Customer:

• Original Car License.
• A copy of valid ID/Iqama and Driving License.
• An original valid Periodic Car Inspection Certificate.
• A valid Car Insurance Policy in the name of customer linked to the Traffic Department System.

Required Documents from Female Customer:

• Original Car License.
• A copy of valid ID.
• A copy of valid ID/Iqama and Driving License of the authorized driver.
• An original valid Periodic Car Inspection Certificate.
• A valid Car Insurance Policy in the name of customer linked to the Traffic Department System. Follows

Ownership Transfer

Important Notes:

• Paying all outstanding traffic violations is a condition in order to transfer ownership.
• Paying insurance costs will be required in case of delay in applying for ownership transfer after 15 days from the date of last lease installments payment.
• Traffic Department System does not allow residents to own more than two cars.

Early Settlement

DAR Auto Lease Financing enables you to own the car during the leasing period. You can apply for early settlement by visiting the nearest After Sales Service Center.

Contract Termination

DAR Lease Program provides you the opportunity to terminate the contract and return the car at any time during the lease period by visiting the nearest After Sales Service Center to explain to you the procedures and balance to pay, given that all pending monthly lease installments and outstanding traffic violations are fully paid.

Important Notes:

• The annual mileage usages allowed is 30,000 KM equivalent to 2,500 KM per month.
• Mileage usage is calculated on monthly basis from the approval date until the contract termination date.
• In case of excessive mileage usages, a fine of SR 0.50 will be charged for each additional kilometer.
• Car inspection will be performed by the car dealership and in case of violation of the terms and conditions of the contract, customer will be charged for any misuse or damages during the leasing period.
